Professional Accomplishments

November 2020 - working

Postdoc Fellow

This is my second postdoctoral stint and I switched departments to get experience in engineering aspects of electrolyzer systems. Joined new group, helped set-up the lab, wrote grant proposals (NASA-REAP, NASA-EPSCoR, mentored undergraduate students and graduate students. Built flow cell electrolyzer system with online mass spectrometer to analysis in real time. built in-situ ATR-SEIRAS system for mechnaistic analysis. Completed  work on CO2 electrolysis. Represented group work in American Institute of Chemical Engineering Meeting (2021), North American Catalysis Society meeting (2022), Annual postdoctoral symposium Clemson (2021).

December 2019 - November 2020

DST-OSVF Postdoc Fellow

As a part of postdoctoral fellowship granted by DST, India, worked in the group of Prof. Kamat (Radiation Lab, University of Notre Dame) on Bipolar membrane, probing the vectorial charge transport across the cross section of bipolar membrane for its potential use in CO2 reduction (serving as single substrate for cathode and anode). The results were published in peer reviewed journal and the output has the direct implications in MEA type CO2 electrolyzers.

November 2018 - November 2019

Research Associate

Started CO2 reduction project in the research group and provided mentor ship to a graduate student. Fabricated custom designed cell for electrochemical and photoelectrochemical CO2 reduction.

May 2019 -

August 2019

Future Research Talent Grant Awardee

Visited Australian National University to work under the supervision of Prof. Chennupati Jagadish for 3 months after PhD thesis Defense as a future research talent grant. Worked on electrochemical synthesis of Bismuth Oxyhalides on transparent conducting substrates.
